Fun-filled weekend had by all! - March 29, 2010


What an awesome weekend it was! Our Lights Out Earth Hour went just great. We had enthusiatic patrons stream in with their flashlights in hand!

AND Our Easter Egg Hunt was bigger and better than ever. We were lucky to dodge the rain and get 5,000 eggs scooped up in about 15 seconds. Three weeks to stuff, 15 seconds to disappear. Great kick off to our 2010 season.

We are ramping up for our Coolest School promotion starting in April. Should be the usual intense crosstown rivalry. Thanks to Dr. Scott Smoron at Smiles by Smoron for sponsorship of this event.

Coolest School Promotion is going to be HEATED!

Coolest School Promotion is going to be ON FIRE this year. Last years 1st and 2nd place winner was determined by the difference of $2.14. That is less than a cone! Six hours of scooping and the difference was a kiddie cone? St. Emily's is coming out with boxing gloves on! Yikes...should be fun!

We are ramping up!

This is my favorite time of year. I love setting our calendar for the year, picking our movie selection and contacting all of our bands for Concerts in the Park. We have gotten all our events on our calendar and are VERY anxious to kick off the 2010 Season on March 13th. We will be doing things a bit differently this year...We will open a weekend earlier but only be open on weekends for the month of March. Beginning on March 29th, we will be open 7 days a week. Chicago weather is just too unpredictable in March so we will just be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from March 13th thru March 28th.
